AIAC Pacific recognized by Province of BC and ITA for commitment to training female apprentices

February 8, 2018

Kelowna, British Columbia – AIAC Pacific has been recognized by the Province of British Columbia and the province’s Industry Training Authority (ITA) for its contribution to the training of female apprentices. The recognition came at an event announcing an innovative partnership between the Industry Training Authority (ITA), AIAC Pacific, KF Aerospace, and Okanagan College to support apprentices in the aircraft maintenance engineering structures (AME ‘S’) program.

“A strong, skilled, diverse workforce is the future of aerospace success in B.C. and across Canada. There must be a strong network of support to ensure that women and underrepresented groups have the means and opportunity to succeed within the industry,” said Jim Quick, President and CEO of AIAC. “This initiative will help to open those doors for the next generation of aerospace workers in British Columbia. We’re proud to be a partner in this initiative and delighted to receive this recognition from Minister Mark and British Columbia’s Industry Training Authority.”
